An atmosphere of fun and enjoyment prevails at Katara - the Cultural Village as the Eid al-Adha celebrations there offer a variety of activities while coinciding with the start of Phase 3 of the gradual lifting of Covid-19 restrictions.

Katara general manager Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim al-Sulaiti expressed great pleasure on the first day of the celebrations at the Cultural Village, as the innovative and new activities seek to provide joy to - and put a the smile on the faces of - children during the festive days. This is in line with the government’s plan to gradually lift the restrictions put in place to curb the spread of the virus.
 He extended his congratulations to all Katara employees on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, appreciating their efforts to provide the best services to visitors.
The Katara theatre on Friday presented a performance under the direction of Nasser Abdul Ridha and with the participation of Qatari artistes such as Faisal Rashid, Abdullah al-Assam, Khaled Khamis, Mohamed Adel and Ali al-Sharshani.

Katara also inaugurated its new mural at the southern main entrance of the Cultural Village, under the title, 'Katara expresses its gratitude to the medical staff'. Twelve artists came together to convey a message of gratitude from Katara to the frontline warriors from the medical sector, who have been putting in great efforts for the people's safety and to stop the spread of the virus, while presenting "wonderful and inspiring humanitarian models worldwide," Katara said in a statement.
Katara also presented virtual fireworks on its website in addition to the Eid competition, which consists of selecting the most beautiful children's costume during the Eid days by sending a photograph or video of the participating child. Katara has allocated prizes for the first five winners in each competition, such as for photo or video.
The visual materials (photo or video) should be of high quality, and Katara will have the copyright to the winning materials and be entitled to use them for any purpose, the statement added.
Many visitors expressed happiness at the Katara Eid al-Adha celebrations, appreciating the efforts of the Cultural Village to provide everything that contributes to bring joy and happiness to the hearts of children and family members during the Eid days.
