Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that the entire Pakistani nation, including the armed forces, fully stand by the Kashmiri people in their struggle for the right to self-determination.
He said this in a video message before leaving for Chiri Kot Sector of Line of Control (LoC), along with Defence Minister Pervez Khattak.
Qureshi said that he is visiting the Kashmir border with Khattak to express solidarity with the Kashmiri people.
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Permanent Mission to the Organisation of Islamic Co-operation (OIC) in Jeddah has organised a webinar titled Role of Diaspora in Seeking Peaceful Settlement of Jammu and Kashmir Dispute.
In his keynote address, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) president Sardar Masood Khan presented a six-point programme for effectively raising the Kashmir dispute at the international level.
Meanwhile, Radio Pakistan has released three special songs to mark Youm-e-Istehsal (August 5 marks the first anniversary of the abrogation of Article 370 by India).
