Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) has been recognised with two prestigious awards at the ‘Middle East World’s Best Consumer Digital Banks Awards 2020’ by Global Finance Magazine, winning ‘Best Mobile Banking App in Qatar’, and ‘Qatar’s Best Social Media Marketing & Services’ awards for the second consecutive year.

The two awards reflect QIB’s excellence in providing the best and most innovative digital banking services in the market, and translate its leading contribution to reshaping the banking scene in Qatar through seamless digital solutions and services that meet all customers’ banking needs.

Global Finance’s audience includes senior corporate and financial officers responsible for making investment and strategic decisions at multinational companies and financial institutions.

The magazine regularly selects the top performing banks and other providers of financial services, and its awards have become a trusted standard of excellence for the global financial community.

The recognition of QIB was announced following an evaluation process by a world-class panel of judges, and based on the selection of the editors of Global Finance. On QIB’s win, Constantinos Constantinides, QIB’s chief strategy & digital officer, said, “QIB is pleased to once again be recognised for providing exceptional digital banking services in Qatar. Our digital transformation journey started six years ago, and we have since built our own repertoire towards a full digitisation of our banking services, and to make banking in Qatar simpler, faster and better.

“The ongoing changes in customer needs and behaviours, and the importance of digital banking is becoming widely more popular, precisely mobile banking, and customers expect banking services to be available wherever they are and at any time.

“With this in mind, QIB has continuously invested in upgrading its Mobile App and developing its online platforms to ensure individual and corporate customers always have easy, secure, and convenient banking experiences from the comfort of the homes and offices,” Constantinos added.
