Qatar Finance and Business Academy (QFBA)-Northumbria University, in partnership with leading financial institutions in Qatar, will host an online panel discussion on different approaches university graduates can take to effectively pursue career opportunities in these challenging times.
The panel discussion will be held on August 19, led by senior leaders and human resource executives from HSBC, QFC Authority and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).
Fahed al-Emadi, premier branch manager at Masraf Al Rayan and an alumnus of QFBA-Northumbria University, will moderate the discussion, shedding light on recruitment challenges and opportunities fresh graduates are facing during Covid-19.
The online session will include discussions around impact of digitisation, artificial intelligence and robotics on recruitment in the Financial Services sector in the context of Qatar. The panellists will also share key insights on overcoming challenges amidst the new reality of the Covid-19 environment.
Khalifa al-Yafei, director of student affairs at QFBA-Northumbria University, said: “During the current situation and seeing how Covid-19 has impacted the local and global recruitment market, QFBA-Northumbria University would like to encourage its alumni and the larger community to think constructively about job opportunities in the local financial market and to provide support for actualising their efforts towards desired career opportunities.
“We thank our long-standing partners in the financial services sector for their support in guiding the efforts of youth in the right direction, and urge those seeking jobs to take advantage of this opportunity to register for the discussion.”
This session will conclude #QFBA_NUCareerSeries, a career oriented initiative by QFBA-Northumbria University for university graduates, focusing on recruitment tips, employability skills and other related career aspects.
