The embassy of Qatar to the Kingdom of Eswatini delivered medical aid and materials from Qatar Charity (QC) to support Eswatini efforts to confront the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.
The delivery of the aid was attended by Eswatini’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation Thuli Dladla, the Minister of Education Lady Howard Mabuza, the Minister of Health Lizzie Nkosi and a number of senior officials in the kingdom, as well as Charge d’Affairs at the embassy of Qatar to Eswatini Ahmed bin Tajir Mohamed al-Sada and third secretary at the embassy Hamad Abdullah al-Suwaidi.
On behalf of the government and people of Eswatini, the kingdom’s Foreign Minister Thuli Dladla expressed sincere gratitude for the assistance provided by Qatar to the people to confront the coronavirus and praised the level of strong relations between the two friendly countries.
The Minister of Education of Eswatini Lady Howard Mabuza also expressed her sincere thanks and appreciation to Qatar for the aid that was provided and confirmed that it will provide students returning to schools with the necessary materials that protect them from the risk of exposure to the coronavirus.
The foreign and education ministers expressed deep gratitude for the efforts of Qatar in Mbabane in supporting the Kingdom to confront the pandemic, wishing bilateral relations further progress and prosperity.
