Officials from Qatar Red Crescent Society and Sudanese Red Crescent Society at Khartoum International Airport, Sudan, upon the arrival of a consignment of medical aid to help Sudan combat the Covid-19 pandemic.
The aid has been provided as part of a joint response under a tripartite agreement signed by QRCS with its Turkish and Sudanese counterparts.
Accordingly, two batches of medical aid were deployed from Ankara, Turkey, to Khartoum.
The cargo contained several tonnes of medical equipment and materials aimed at enabling hospitals and quarantine centres to treat Covid-19 patients and ensure protection for the medical professionals engaged in the pandemic response.
