Qatar Development Bank (QDB) and the National Fund for Small and Medium Enterprises Development in Kuwait held a dialogue session under the title "Small and Medium Enterprises Stumbling in Light of the Coronavirus Pandemic."
CEO of QDB Abdulaziz bin Nasser al-Khalifa participated in the session held on social media platforms, referring to the experience of Qatar in supporting and promoting small and medium enterprises.
Also, he talked about QDB's strategy in dealing with the pandemic, pointing out that this strategy is based on three foundations: resilience, advancement, and prosperity, as it began with an attempt to overcome the first phase of the pandemic, then helping the private sector recovery, and finally expand sales.
The bank implemented this strategy through training workshops and appropriate information for each case, he explained.
QDB has launched several programmes and initiatives such as the National Guarantees Programme, the Business Promotion Programme, the Covid-19 Hackathon, and the Converting Challenges into Opportunities competition, which contributed to creating a vibrant and effective business environment, preserving the resilience of the private sector, and pushing it towards new horizons.
