Qatar will host the fourth Arab Digital Content Forum from October 5 to 7, the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MoTC) announced Monday.
The event will be held under the theme “The Future of Arabic Content on the Internet.” The forum is organised by the MoTC under the auspices of the League of Arab States in collaboration with Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) of Qatar, the Arab Information and Communication Technologies Organisation (AICTO) and the UN Economic and Social Commission for West Asia (ESCWA).
The three-day virtual forum will focus on the Arabic digital content, its advancement and challenges. It will also discuss the importance of Arabic digital content during crises and the role it has played in the current Covid-19 situation and learnings from this for other crises.
Other key topics relevant to the creation of Arabic digital content include the prospects of e-learning in the Arab region, the future role of Arabic digital content within the education sector and learnings, particularly from the education sector’s response to the Covid-19 situation. The role of the Arabic digital content within a smart nation and the Arabic digital content and entrepreneurship amongst youth are also among the key topic of discussions.
The Arab Digital Content Forum is aimed at enhancing and supporting the development of Arabic digital content in all sectors. It will highlight innovations, breakthroughs, best practices and successes in the development of Arabic digital content. It also aims at increasing international and regional co-operation.
