Sheridah Sultan al-Rumaihi, director the Mechanical Equipment Department, said they are keen to enhance its fleet with the latest vehicles and equipment in accordance with the work demand and to offer high-quality service.
He said a tender was offered to rent light vehicles for four years by the MME, which include electric vehicles for the first time, as these are environment-friendly options that will help decrease carbon emissions.
The department, in co-operation with the General Cleanliness Department, has organised a training course for a week for 86 drivers to train them on how to operate the new vehicles and equipment.
