The Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) signed an agreement of co-operation with the National Service Academy of the Ministry of Defence Monday.
According to a Kahramaa statement, the agreement features training of national service recruits and enhances co-operation in the common and specific areas to benefit both parties.
The agreement was signed by Kahramaa president Engineer Issa bin Hilal al-Kuwari and National Service Academy head Staff Major-General Saeed Hamad al-Nuaimi.
Al-Kuwari said that Kahramaa is keen to strengthen co-operation with all national authorities and institutions in line with the goals that support the development of society, meet the country's electricity and water demand, and security on a permanent and regular basis.
He explained that the agreement includes various areas of co-operation, including the exchange of experiences in the fields of training and development.
Kahramaa will provide opportunities to train recruited students, employees and members of the National Service Academy.
Al-Nuaimi said that the agreement will provide students and employees of the academy with opportunities for training in the drinking water system, electrical and water installations, and solar energy technologies and their uses.
