Asna Nafees, DPS-MIS principal, in her address, said the ongoing pandemic crisis had created a situation of uncertainty and anxiety and heightened the need for paying attention to issues of mental and emotional wellbeing.
“DPS-MIS prioritises the wellbeing of its students and leaves no stone unturned to provide them a favourable atmosphere for their development.”
Saying where there is a will, there is a way, the principal encouraged the attendees to overcome negativity of mind and urged the parents to strengthen the students spiritually and emotionally.
Asima Iqbal Bakshi and Melbin Siji, DPS-MIS counsellors, discussed about stress and impact of the current pandemic on the mental health of the students. They shared different techniques and gave practical tips to cope up with stress and to overcome all barriers. They advised the students to follow a routine, have time management, prioritise nutrition, exercise, meditate, practice and promote hygiene, and develop attitude of forgiveness.
The programme was compered by Priti Ketanbhai Modi, activity co-ordinator for class-IX to XII, and Chinmayee Pathak, activity co-ordinator for class-VI to VIII.
