The Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME), represented by the environment affairs sector and livestock department, is taking part in the fourth edition of S'hail - Katara International Hunting and Falcons Exhibition at Katara- the Cultural Village.
The MME pavilion offers a number of services that include issuing permits for importing and exporting falcons, issuing documents for a falcon pass and issuing health certificates for birds, as well as communicating with the public to respond to their queries.
Besides, the pavilion displays Houbara bustard birds, which are produced at a breeding centre under the ministry.
Further, visitors to the event are introduced to CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora), which Qatar joined in 2001.
The MME's public relations department has designed the pavilion in co-ordination with the environment affairs sector, as well as the brochures meant for the public.
S'hail 2020 will continue until October 24.
