Ooredoo has announced that it is continuing its longstanding support of Qatar Cancer Society (QCS) with an agreement to sponsor the Blossom campaign.

The Blossom campaign has a number of goals: raising awareness of the disease, encouraging early detection and promoting a healthy lifestyle as a means of prevention, as well as highlighting cancer-related healthcare in Qatar.

The campaign also seeks to instil hope and optimism among communities, and encourage community-based support for cancer patients and their families.

Ooredoo will sponsor Blossom and the organisation’s other campaigns this year as part of its corporate social responsibility commitment to supporting the communities in which it operates, the company has said in a statement.

Sabah Rabiah al-Kuwari, director of PR at Ooredoo, said: “We’re delighted to be continuing our longstanding relationship with Qatar Cancer Society with this latest commitment to sponsoring the Blossom campaign and other campaigns this year. The organisation provides invaluable support to cancer patients and their families in Qatar, as well as working tirelessly to raise awareness, educate and inform, and we’re proud to be helping them do this as part of our commitment to healthcare.”
