Department of Meteorology Sunday said scattered thundery rains are observed in the southwest parts of the country, according to the latest radar images. The Met Dept urged all to be careful as strong winds and low visibility accompany the rain.
In a tweet earlier the Met Dept also warned that low visibility of less than 2km was experiencing in the northeast towards Ras Laffan due to the downdraft winds from the cumulus clouds.
In a forecast released yesterday, the Met Dept has said it will be hazy in some places at first, followed by partly cloudy conditions and a chance of scattered rain, which may be thundery. Blowing dust is also likely in some areas.
Cloudy conditions are expected in offshore areas and there is a possibility of scattered rain, which may be thundery in some places occasionally.
The wind speed may go up to 30 knots during thundery conditions in both inshore and offshore areas Sunday, with the sea level rising to 9ft.
The temperature in Doha is expected to range from 28C to 34C.
