Qatar Development Bank (QDB) is preparing to launch Qatar Entrepreneurship Conference (Rowad) of 2020, on November 15, which will continue until November 19, in its first virtual edition in the history of the event that is being held for the sixth year in a row.
QDB is expected to honour distinguished entrepreneurs at the opening ceremony of the Qatar Entrepreneurship Conference (Roward Qatar 2020), through the two awards for the National Entrepreneurship Competition, Al Fikra 2020, and the Resilient Award.
The Al Fikra 2020 award aims to develop and support entrepreneurs and strengthen their capabilities to be highly qualified individuals in the field of business, capable of competition and creativity. The award is divided into three categories: the challenges category, which includes the digital sector, the healthcare sector, the education sector and the industrial sector.
The second category is called the start-up, which falls under all sectors, except for the food and beverage sector, in addition to the last category for teams consisting of affiliates of universities that are nominated to compete on their behalf in the competition.
The Resilient Award was created by QDB to honour small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) which were able to efficiently face the consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic, and to strategically turn this challenge into an opportunity for growth and prosperity.
The winners of the awards will be announced at the opening ceremony of Roward Qatar 2020.
