The competent authorities referred 53 people to the Public Prosecution, for not wearing masks in public places where they were mandatory, the Ministry of Interior said in tweet Sunday. 10 people were also referred to prosecution for violating the limit of four persons in a vehicle including the driver, except for members of the same family.
These are in implementation of the cabinet decision and Law No. 17 of 1990 regarding infectious diseases, and the preventive and precautionary measures in place to limit the spread of the Coronavirus.
Authorities urged the public to adhere to the precautionary and preventive decision‘ in force to protect them and others from the spread of the Coronavirus in society.
