The honouring ceremony for the winners of the 5th edition of Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani International Anti-Corruption Excellence Award will be held in Tunis, on Wednesday (December 9).

The programme will be held in co-operation with the United Nations and in the presence of a number of its senior officials, in addition to the members of the Supreme Committee of the Award and the Advisory Board choosing the award winners and a number of international guests interested in the field of the award.

The award is granted in four fields which are: The Award for Lifetime/Outstanding Achievement, The Award for Youth Creativity and Engagement, The Award for Innovation, and The Award for Academic Research and Education.

The award ceremony is held every year and coincides with the celebration of the International Anti-Corruption Day, which the United Nations marks on December 9. The Tunisian President Kais Saied met on Monday with HE Dr Ali bin Fetais al-Marri, the Attorney General and UN Special Advocate against Corruption, who is currently visiting Tunisia. --QNA
