Qatar participated on Friday in the meeting of senior officials for the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), which was held via video conference technology, chaired by First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Shahrat Nuryshev. Qatar was represented at the meeting by HE Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr Ahmed bin Hassan al-Hammadi. During the meeting, the regional situation was reviewed, and the experiences gained during the outbreak of the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic were discussed, in order to continue supporting and strengthening multilateral co-operation, as well as the adoption of the CICA plan for 2021.
Qatar was represented at the meeting by HE Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr Ahmed bin Hassan al-Hammadi.
