As Commercial Bank and Education City Golf Club are gearing up to host the annual Commercial Bank Qatar Masters in 2021, the two parties teamed up to organize the Final Play to Par Tournament of the Year for kids on 10 December.

After revamping the program, ECGC launched the Play to Par in September, a series tailored to take children from the practice area to the golf course. Now, the program of this year has come to an end with the Final Tournament of the Year event.

Around fifty kids participated in the event and played enjoyable rounds of golf at one of the country’s most spectacular golf courses.

The tournament was split into two levels of players: The Play to Par Red and Orange level for younger kids, and the Play to Par Yellow and Blue level for older ones.

Attendees enjoyed the challenging course while also taking in the stunning, picturesque
sceneries and green fields of the golf course.

“We are elated to partner up with ECGC for the second year. As we prepare to host Commercial Bank Qatar Masters in 2021, we take pride in supporting golf activities dedicated for kids, as such activities engage junior golfers and prepare them to be professional players in the future,” said Commercial Bank EGM, Chief Marketing Officer Hussein Al-Abdulla.

“Golf and fitness education and development of the child are our priority,” said Education City Golf Club General Manager Michael Braidwood. “Our Play to Par revamped classes are delivered in a memorable, safe and healthy environment as we encourage learning through a multitude of fun exercises.”

After enrolling in Play to Par, children are allocated into the age and skill appropriate class. Each class has content developed to best suit the needs of the specific group.
