Powered by Vodafone Qatar’s world class 5G network, visitors to Msheireb Downtown Doha on Qatar National Day (QND) enjoyed an exclusive one-of-a-kind Augmented Reality (AR) experience, a statement said.
Developed by Vodafone Qatar specifically for QND celebrations, the app called ‘Vodafone AR’ allowed users to enjoy a spectacular AR fireworks and drone display above the skies of Msheireb.
With its simple interface, users were able take photos and videos of the show, share them on social media, and even participate by launching their own fireworks.
Vodafone Qatar statement explained: “We’re delighted to have been able to celebrate Qatar National Day this year with Msheireb Downtown Doha and engage the public in an innovative way. Powering AR applications such as the Vodafone AR is just one of the many ways 5G can innovate and enhance people’s experience of events and other forms of entertainment.”
As the first AR drone and fireworks show in Qatar, Vodafone AR represents another milestone for Vodafone Qatar in the space of digital innovation, the statement added.
