Parents across Qatar will have the chance to explore what Qatar Foundation’s (QF) diverse range of schools can offer their children next month – from their own homes.

A virtual event organised by QF’s Pre-University Education (PUE) will provide the opportunity to meet representatives from all 15 schools within the organisation’s education ecosystem, and learn more about its academic landscape from a series of webinars.

Discover PUE, which will be held from 10am-6pm on January 13, is designed to give parents information about, and insight into, QF’s wide range of schools and specialised centres as they make decisions over where their children should begin their educational journey. The interactive event will also allow them hear from alumni of QF’s schools and how they are still part of the PUE community.

“Through Discover PUE, we are opening up our schools to parents in virtual form so they can find out for themselves how an education at QF cultivates a child’s talents and capabilities, empowers them to become a lifelong learner, and sets them on the path to realising their full potential,” said Vicki Wright, head of admissions at PUE.

“This is an opportunity to hear from our team of specialist educators how our schools support children not only to learn in an educational environment of the highest quality, but also to grow intellectually, socially, and emotionally. Discover PUE will also showcase how enroling your child in a QF school makes them part of a diverse, inclusive community that preserves and nurtures Qatari culture and values.”

Discover PUE is also open to carers, educators, and anyone who would like to find out more about pre-university education at QF. Those attending will also have access to 19 booths, and be able to chat with representatives from specialised PUE departments and centres, including the Education Development Institute, The Learning Centre, Thimun Qatar, the Admissions team, and the Academic Affairs department, which includes co-curricular and extramural activities and support for gifted students.

Meanwhile, topics covered by the event’s series of 10 live webinars – all of which will allow those attending to pose questions to PUE educators – will include inclusive learning models, the International Baccalaureate, dual language learning, progressive education, and parental engagement.
