HE Dr Youssef Hussein Kamal, former minister of finance, received the Covid-19 vaccination on Thursday according to a tweet by the Ministry of Public Health ( MoPH). He has also expressed his thanks and appreciation for taking this as a priority and bringing the vaccination to Qatar.
In the first phase of Covid-19 vaccination campaign in the country, the shot is being prioritised for people most at risk of severe complications from the virus: They include those 70 and above as well as people with severe chronic conditions. Healthcare workers who are repeatedly exposed to Covid-19 are also eligible for vaccination.
People who are eligible for vaccination will be directly contacted by the Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) through a phone call or SMS, and those contacted can call back to book an appointment for vaccination. They can also book the same online.
Only those with pre-arranged appointment will be given the vaccination at the health centres. All others who do not meet the criteria for the current vaccination drive will be informed at the later stages of vaccination.
