The 5th edition of Mahaseel festival concluded Saturday at Katara's southern side after a successful run of 10 days, and paving the way for the Mahaseel souq, which will be open Thursday to Saturday, from 9am to 9pm, until March 31.
The initiatives are organised by Katara - The Cultural Village in co-operation with the Ministry of Municipality and Environment.
The Mahaseel souq will continue to offer various fresh local agricultural products, including vegetables, flowers, ornamental plants, livestock products, dates and bee honey produced by Qatari farms and the national meat and poultry companies and others.
Mahaseel Festival featured around 28 Qatari farms to sell their products in addition to eight pavilions dedicated to the products of national food companies and eight plant nurseries.
This edition was highly successful and attracted a good number of visitors. It is considered as part of Katara's efforts to support the agriculture and livestock sector in the country by helping the marketing efforts.
