Saudi Arabia's embassy in Qatar will reopen "in days", Al Arabiya TV channel said on Thursday, citing Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan, according to Reuters.

The minister had made a similar statement to journalists in Riyadh a few days ago, saying Saudi Arabia expects to reopen its embassy in Doha in the coming days and "it is just a matter of logistics".

Full diplomatic relations will resume, he had stressed.

The Egyptian foreign ministry said on Wednesday that Egypt and Qatar had agreed to resume diplomatic relations.

Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain and Egypt agreed earlier this month at the Gulf Summit in Al-Ula to restore diplomatic, trade and travel ties with Qatar, which had been severed in 2017.

Accordingly, flights have resumed between Doha and cities in Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Egypt. Also, the Qatar-Saudi land border at Abu Samra has reopened.
