The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced a partial closure at Towers Intersection from 1am on Friday for a day. This is to enable completion of infrastructure works in the area. Lanes on Omar Al Mukhtar Street will remain open for traffic.
The intersection will be closed to those heading left from Conference Centre Street on Omar Al Mukhtar Street and those heading to the left from the 5/6 Intersection of Conference Centre Street and those coming from Al-Taawun Intersection and those who want to take a U-turn. Motorists can continue towards the next intersection, take a U-turn and proceed. Ashghal will install road signs advising motorists of the temporary closure and urged all to follow them and abide by the speed limit to ensure safety.
