2. Constant desire for emotional support.

How to deal with the dependent personality:
1. Try to encourage them to go to a specialist psychiatrist and not give in to the psychological disorder they are going through.
2. Maintain emotional support throughout the course of treatment and make sure to tell them that treatment does not mean abandoning them.
3. It is very important that you communicate with a psychiatrist so that you can deal with them and set limits that enable you to coexist peacefully without bearing much psychological pressure.
