The Shura Council on Tuesday participated in a parliamentary webinar on "Building a better future where nobody is left behind: How can parliaments ensure that Covid-19 recovery strategies are in line with the SDGs".
Organised by the Inter-Parliamentary Union and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP), the webinar focused on the SDGs and their implementation in light of the Covid-19 pandemic, the exchange of views and suggestions among the participants on how to accelerate the development steps in the region, and to ensure that Covid-19 recovery strategies help in achieving the 2030 SDGs.
The Shura Council was represented in the seminar by HE the Member of the Council Yousif bin Rashid al-Khater.
