The Supervisory Committee of Beautification of Roads and Public Places in Qatar, Ministry of Justice (MoJ) and Qatar Fuel (Woqod) have planted trees in the West bay area as part of the 'Qatar Beautification and Our Kids Planting Trees' campaign to plant 1mn trees in the country, the Public Works Authority (Ashghal) said in a tweet. Ahmed Fakhroo, manager at the MoJ's Financial & Administrative Affairs Department, said: "We are happy to participate in this campaign, which contributes to achieving sustainable development. We also encourage citizens, residents, grownups and kids to increase efforts in planting trees." Abdulaziz Bawazir from Woqod added, "We believe in the importance of preserving the environment and are always exploring new technologies to protect it. Planting trees is one of the most successful ways to improve the quality of life, ecosystem and human health."
