The Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) held a meeting to review the corporation’s performance indicators in the fourth quarter of 2020. The virtual meeting was chaired by Kahramaa president Eng Essa bin Hilal al-Kuwari and discussed the most prominent current and future strategic projects, in the presence and participation of senior officials.
Al-Kuwari referred to the smart projects that Kahramaa is implementing to improve the level of services provided to consumers, contractors, consultants and suppliers while talking about the electronic invoicing system that would enhance transparency and improve financial control tools. He pointed out that these projects came out of keenness to automate and update all services of Kahramaa.
He also stressed the need to carry out careful monitoring of performance indicators to ensure that the smart metre project is implemented quickly and effectively and commensurate with Kahramaa’s quality standards. He also reviewed the developments of the new operating system, which was developed within the framework of the efforts exerted to achieve the desired financial sustainability, and discussed the consequent improvement in the speed and efficiency of operations and opening horizons for new projects.
At the conclusion of the meeting, he thanked the attendees and all employees for their distinguished efforts and stressed the need to continue adhering to the precautionary measures applied at Kahramaa to ensure the safety of everyone.
