Chaliyar Doha, a leading environmental organisation in Qatar, has celebrated World Water Day by holding a 'Water Walk'.

The occasion is marked every year on March 22, as recommended by the United Nations. 'Valuing Water' was the theme of World Water Day this year.

The Chaliyar Doha 'Water Walk' was organised to raise awareness on water conservation for a better future and prevent water pollution. The Water Day programme ended with a special pledge.

Chaliyar Doha president Abdul Latheef Feroke led the oath-taking and all participants of the initiative took the pledge to conserve and protect water by reducing its usage and spreading awareness.

Chaliyar Doha chief adviser V C Mashhood, general secretary Zameel Abdul Wahid-Chaliyam, treasurer Kesavdas Nilambur, Ajmal Areekode, Basheer Kuniyil, C T Siddique, Ratheesh Kakkove, Koyakutty Faroke, N C Najmuddin, Unnikrishnan Vazhayoor and Basheer Cheekod organised the programme sessions.
