Stenden University of Applied Sciences-Qatar (SUAS-Q) has received Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA) for its bachelor programme in International Business and Management Studies.

SUAS-Q’s business programme becomes the only business management programme officially accredited by FIBAA in Qatar and in the GCC region.

FIBAA is a German quality assurance agency and one of the first ones to be approved by the German Accreditation Council. It accredits according to the standards of the German Accreditation Council and is a member of the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education. It is established specifically to promote quality and transparency in education and science by awarding a Quality Seal to educational programmes and providers operating in tertiary and quaternary education.

The FIBAA accreditation audit was performed by a team of highly qualified and experienced international higher education experts in the areas of Business and Management. According to the experts SUAS-Q’s programme fully met all quality requirements for accreditation and exceeded the requirements for “Career Counselling and Placement Service” and “Alumni Activities”.

Dr Ivan Ninov, executive dean of SUAS-Q, stated, “We are very happy with this result and the fact that we have been successfully benchmarked against some of the leading educational institutions, providing business management education. The achievement of this important international accreditation will positively impact the overall image of our university, and the image of the higher education sector in Qatar”.
