The meeting, headed by First Deputy Speaker of the Riksdag (Swedish Parliament) sa Lindestam, was attended by a number of Swedish parliamentarians including, Cecilia Widegren, Linda Lindberg, Eva Linde, and Anne Beret, and from the Qatari side, HE member of the Shura Council Dr Hind al-Muftah, Director of International Labour Relations Department at the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs Sheikha al-Khater, counsellor at Qatar's embassy in Sweden Tamader al-Mulla.
Qatar's ambassador to Sweden Sheikha Moza bint Nasser al-Thani organised a high-level meeting, through visual communication technology, about the pivotal role of women in political life, the importance of Qatari women's participation in the upcoming Shura Council elections to contribute to political decision-making, and ways to benefit from the Swedish experience.
