In the Ramadan spirit of brotherhood and humanity, Bosnian Community recently delivered food aid to 47 families in different areas of Qatar. The distribution was made possible through the generous contribution of Bosnian residents in Qatar and was organised in collaboration with the country's embassy and Wa’hab – local company that aims to reduce food wastage.
Wardha Mamukoya, founder of Wa’hab, said: “There are a million reasons why we should help each other. It’s beyond amazing when people from different walks of life come together for a noble cause. Wa’hab will continue its efforts to help others, to reduce food wastage and to make the world a better place.”
“We are very proud of all Bosnians in Qatar who are constantly engaged in delivering greater good to the community. The holy month of Ramadan is a unique opportunity to demonstrate the importance of charity work and its benefits to the society”, said Vahid Suljic.
“It is through these activities that I realised the true power of volunteering and its role in building a happy and connected society. In every activity we strive to involve our kids to teach them the importance of communal good and belief in things bigger than themselves, an important trait in our times”, said Nedzad Kurtovic, Bosnian community member.
