Following the distribution of Ramadan packages, the Bosnian community in Qatar recently started distributing Iftar meals as well. During the door-to-door distribution campaign, 110 workers and family members were provided with Iftar meals.
The activity was conducted in collaboration with the embassy of Bosnia and Wa’hab, a local company that aims to reduce food wastage. The distribution was done in accordance with Covid-19 preventive measures.
“The holy month of Ramadan is a month of Allah’s blessings. Being thankful for what we have received from Him, we want to share the blessings with our brothers and sisters, who are in need,” said Adnan Dzakmic, member of Bosnian community.
“It is our social responsibility to help and take care of the wider community in Qatar,” said Vahid Suljic. He also noted the importance of serving the community not only during Ramadan but throughout the year. “If we all contribute, we would be able to reach more needy families. We will keep the needy people in our prayers and do our best to help them not only in Ramadan but throughout the whole year.”
