Qatar Fuel (Woqod) has clarified that messages on social media claiming that the company is giving away prizes on its 50th anniversary are untrue.
Issuing a “fake message warning” on Twitter Sunday, the company said it would like to draw the attention of customers to the spread of fraudulent messages through social media, "claiming that Woqod is distributing prizes on the occasion of its 50th anniversary, which is completely untrue".
The Woqod post added: "The company warns its valued customers against being deceived by these messages, and to delete them as soon as they are received.
“They are also asked not to click on any links in such messages because this might lead to the possibility of the hacking of their devices."
