The investiture ceremony of the prefectorial body and student council of the junior school of DPS-Modern Indian School (DPS-MIS) was recently conducted on Zoom.
To become part of the students’ council, there is an initial application process followed by the interview with the headmistress, co-ordinators and house wardens, leading to a final interview with the school principal and vice-principal.
The prefectorial body consisting of 46 members include: Sanjeev Sundararaj, grade-V/G (head boy), Inshirah Akthar, V/B (head girl), Aarav Gupta V/A (games captain), Mariam Shaikh, V/C (games captain), Kamaleshwer Puroshothaman, V/J (president, student council), Kayra Verma, V/G (president, student council), Veer Sharma V/H (president, activities), Lasya Priya Dontaraju V/L (president, activities), secretaries of the student council, captains of the four houses, the house prefects, and directors of environmental club, discipline, public speaking, art, music and dance.
The event was graced by chief guest Yasir Nainar, vice president of DPS-MIS, guest of honour Kimberly, alumna of the school, who is currently pursuing her PhD in Anthropology and Education at the University of Pennsylvania. Hassan Chougule, president, DPS-MIS also graced the occasion.
Principal Asna Nafees, vice principals – Soma B, Mary Cruz, Shifa Shaikh, and headmistress –Sini Menon and Najla Bukhari congratulated the team.
