HE the Shura Council Speaker Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Zaid al-Mahmoud met Wednesday with the President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), Duarte Pacheco, who is currently visiting the country to participate in the opening of the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT) Programme Office on Parliamentary Engagement in Preventing and Countering Terrorism. During the meeting, they reviewed relations between the Shura Council and the IPU, and ways to enhance and develop them, especially in the parliamentary field.
