For the thirteenth year in a row, Qatar maintained its first rank in the MENA region, and occupied advanced positions at the global level during the same period, by achieving high ratings that surpassed many developed countries in low crime rates, and achieved advance ranks at the global level in the GPI as it scored high ranks in different quantitative and qualitative indicators of peacefulness.
The countries are ranked in the Index on a scale of 1-5 so that the most stable countries are those who achieve 1, while the least stable receive 5. The Global Peace Index is an attempt to measure the relative peacefulness of countries and regions. It is produced by the Institute for Economic and Peace in consultation with an international team of experts from institutes and research centers.
Qatar continues to achieve advanced positions in peace and security indicators at the regional and global levels.
