The founding anniversary by the Founder, Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani, marks the birth of the concept of the modern state in Qatar, said HE Dr Abdulaziz bin Nasser bin Mubarak al-Khalifa, President of the Civil Services and Government Development Bureau (CGB) and Secretary-General of the National Planning Council.In a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA) on the occasion of Qatar National Day, HE Sheikh Jassim highlighted that Qatar has undergone profound and comprehensive transformations, with significant progress across various fields, including economic development, urban growth, education, scientific research, and international relations. This has positioned Qatar as a model of a modern state in the region.This occasion reflects a deep sense of pride in Qatari identity and strengthens national unity among citizens and residents. It also serves as an opportunity to reaffirm loyalty to the wise leadership, which places great importance on achieving social cohesion and sustainable development to move forward with optimism and determination, he added.HE Sheikh Jassim pointed out that the CGB has achieved several accomplishments throughout the year, launching several strategic projects, prominently the “Sharek” platform aimed at measuring customer satisfaction, the Government Excellence Award to encourage government agencies to compete in applying quality, the “Ada’a” system to upgrade the performance of the government sector in Qatar through the achievement of strategic goals, and the “Eskan” digital platform, along with significant improvements to the “Kawader” platform.He highlighted the CGB’s endeavour to achieve its goals as the owner of the sectoral strategy ‘Institutional Excellence and Services’ emanating from the Third National Development Strategy, which aims to reach “distinguished government institutions” by achieving a number of strategic results and initiatives associated with it.Concluding his statement to QNA, HE Dr Abdulaziz bin Nasser bin Mubarak al-Khalifa reaffirmed the bureau’s commitment to adopting the most effective and modern methods and practices to achieve sustainable institutional growth and modernisation in the government sector, within the framework of the third national development strategy by increasing effectiveness in policy and decision-making, preparing a qualified workforce ready for the future, developing flexible and effective work structures, in addition to providing distinguished digital services aimed at meeting the needs of all segments of society in Qatar.
