Ooredoo has announced that it is further supporting the drive to preserve and promote Qatari culture and heritage with the official sponsorship of Qatar Museums’ new cultural initiative, Mal Lawal 3.
Mal Lawal 3 is a unique platform that sheds light on the collecting community around Qatar, bringing local collectors together to network, collaborate, showcase their collectibles, and engage in thought-provoking discussion and debate.Reinterpreted to fit a museum setting, the platform serves as a launch pad for the art of collecting and addressing how to become a collector, what objects should be collected, and how they should be preserved and/or displayed. The platform is designed to offer a vital contribution to Qatar’s cultural landscape by preserving and promoting its heritage, culture and traditions.Reflecting Qatar’s material culture through a community-led platform that promotes collecting practices, Mal Lawal 3 is an opportunity for private collectors to play a key role in developing Qatar’s cultural sector and preserving the country’s rich heritage.Collectibles are now on display to the public at the National Museum of Qatar until July 31.Ooredoo public relations director Sabah Rabiah al-Kuwari said: “We’re delighted to be acting as Official Sponsor of the Mal Lawal 3 platform.”“Qatari culture and heritage are rich, varied, and fascinating, and – as a key part of our commitment to our communities in our corporate social responsibility strategy – we focus on supporting initiatives that both preserve this culture and heritage for future generations and showcase it for all to enjoy,” he said.“We expect this platform to be a valuable addition to the cultural scene in Qatar, as can be seen from some of the exquisite collectibles on display,” al-Kuwari added.
