This week I have been in talks with an organisation who has asked me to give a workshop I did at the beginning of the year called ‘Make 2021 your Come Back Year’. Now you might be thinking but it’s already July, isn’t it a bit late in the year to be planning to make it my come back year. Here’s the thing, I don’t believe it is.
Yes, I know it has been six months into 2021, but that doesn’t mean it’s too late to take inspired action towards your goals. Eighty percent of people have already failed to take action to what they committed to at the beginning of the year anyway.
Its summer, that means expanded daylight and more hours to get stuff done. The opportunity to begin again, to do things differently, learning from the past to make our present and future even healthier, to fine-tune all that needs to change so life is even better than before.
Start by thinking about an overall theme for your goals for the rest of the year. Think of a word that holds the energy of what you want to achieve. A word that underpins the essence of the theme, that defines how it would feel to achieve the meaning of this word.
Be realistic about your goals and set yourself up to succeed. It’s a good idea to work on a three-month business and life cycle – this way you can achieve more without being overwhelmed or constantly thinking too much into the future, yet everything you do within this timeframe is towards your bigger picture, step by step. However, also get the bigger picture in place: what kind of a life do you want to live? How do you want to feel every day? What kind of work do you want to be doing? Where will your business be? How is your health and where would you like to live? What kind of people do you want to surround yourself with?
Step back, assess and adjust whatever you need to, take a deep breath, stretch, dream, vision and start a fresh list, now is the time to create and recommit to your goals, now is the time to pick up speed. If you feel you need some extra support or guidance, reach out to me on Instagram.
