Qatar Business Incubation Center (QBIC) of Qatar Development Bank (QDB) announced the organization of the 14th edition of QBIC Demo Day on July 11, under the theme "Qatar's Fastest-Growing Startups, Your Next Smart Investment", for the participants in the LeanStartup Programme and the Lean Acceleration Program, as 12 startups were selected to pitch their projects to angel investors, aspiring entrepreneurs and a panel of experts, while the public could follow the event online.
The Demo Day provides an opportunity for those looking for new and smart investments in the State of Qatar to get a closer look at startups, with the ability to meet the founders and invest in their ventures.
The event will be held virtually for second consecutive year, and therefore everyone will be able to participate in this distinctive digital experience from anywhere they want. Those who do not get the opportunity to watch the event's live stream, it will be uploaded with full information about the startups, means to communicate with their founders and the mechanisms for organizing interviews with them via the official website of the Demo Day http://demoday.qbic.qa .
The Demo Day is held in cooperation between QBIC and its partner Ooredoo, and with the entrepreneurship partners in Qatar, namely the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC), Doha Tech Angels (DTA), Mansoor Bin Khalifa Holding Group and Snoonu Company, who are helping to develop the entrepreneurship system and make it appropriate and compatible with anything that is modern and new.
Qatar Business Incubation Center will continue to provide support, advice and guidance to the selected startups to participate in the Demo Day as part of its contribution to developing an advanced business system and providing a sustainable business environment for entrepreneurs in the State of Qatar.
