Qatar is participating in the 16th Conference of Heads of Interpol's National Central Bureaus (NCBs), which started on Tuesday via videoconferencing.
The three-day conference, which brings together heads of Interpol's NCBs, will discuss inter-office issues and the promotion of international police co-operation for transnational combat, as well as the exchange of expertise, experiences and best practices in addressing cross-border crimes.
The conference will also review the frameworks of co-operation between the various offices, the means of developing them, and the lessons learned from the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on cross-border crime.
Qatar is being represented at the conference, from the National Central Bureau of Interpol Doha, Head of the Communication Department of the Arab and International Police, Lt Col. Mohamed Fahed al-Hajri, police co-ordination officer in the bureau, First Lieutenant Fahd Adel al-Mal, and liaison officer at the bureau First Lieutenant Nawaf Abdullah al-Sulaiti. (QNA)
