Qatar, UK to raise co-operation in cybersecurity, air capabilities

Qatar signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to enhance co-operation in the field of cybersecurity, as part of the state visit of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani to the United Kingdom.The MoU was signed on the Qatari side by HE President of the National Cybersecurity Agency Eng. Abdulrahman bin Ali Al Farahid al-Malki, and on the British side by the Director General of Defence and Intelligence at the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) Jonathan Allen.The MoU aims to enhance bilateral co-operation, exchange expertise, and develop joint capabilities to address the growing cybersecurity challenges, thereby contributing to the mutual interests of both countries. Within the framework of the state visit of His Highness the Amir to the United Kingdom, and to enhance the existing co-operation between the Qatari Armed Forces and the British Royal Armed Forces, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Qatari and the United Kingdom Ministries of Defence to cooperate in air capabilities and related services.The MoU was signed on the Qatari side by HE Chief of Staff of Qatar Armed Forces Lt. Gen. (Pilot) Jassim bin Mohammed al-Mannai, and on the British side by Chief of Staff of the Royal Air Force Air Chief Marshal Richard Knighton.
