Qatar Academy Sidra sees outstanding IB results

The results for Qatar Academy Sidra (QAS), part of Qatar Foundationu2019s (QF) Pre-University Education, revealed that the average score for its students was 35.2 points u2013 above the global average u2013 with some students achieving a high score of 40 points.
Qatar Academy Sidra’s Class of 2021 students are celebrating the results of their International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, which were announced worldwide this month.
The results for Qatar Academy Sidra (QAS), part of Qatar Foundation’s (QF) Pre-University Education, revealed that the average score for its students was 35.2 points – above the global average – with some students achieving a high score of 40 points. A 100% pass rate was achieved by all those who were entered for the qualification, and two-thirds of all students were awarded a bilingual diploma.Dr. Carolyn Mason Parker, Director, QAS, said: “Students have faced new situations over the past 18 months. The QAS graduates have risen to the challenges of learning during a pandemic. We congratulate them on their outstanding results. We are proud of their contributions to our school community, and we look forward to hearing how they continue to become future changemakers.”The students are now preparing to attend a variety of universities all over the world, including Georgetown University in Qatar, a QF partner university; University of Reading, UK; University of Edinburgh, UK; American University of Cairo, Egypt; University of Toronto, Canada; University of California San Diego, US; McGill University, Canada; University of Amsterdam, Netherlands; American University of Beirut, Lebanon; Ko? University, Turkey.QAS’s Class of 2021 officially joined a global community of nearly 1mn International Baccalaureate-educated men and women in May when they graduated from the two-year programme in an official graduation ceremony.
