HSBC Qatar was named the ‘best sub-custodian’, ‘best domestic custodian’ and ‘best fund administrator’ for retail funds at “The asset triple A sustainable investing awards 2021”.
HSBC won a total of 18 awards across different markets and territories.
“These awards recognise the market leading products and services that HSBC offers its clients in Qatar,” said Abdul Hakeem Mostafawi, CEO, HSBC in Qatar.
“Our local team of securities services experts has been playing an important role in not only helping investors manage their portfolios but also in bringing sophisticated products and instruments to the local market.”
HSBC was the first bank to establish custody services in Qatar in 1998.

“The asset triple A sustainable investing awards 2021” recognises institutional investors, ETF, and asset servicing providers for the industry's efforts and expertise.
The recent refresh reflects the industry’s transformation in adapting to new technology and deploying automation to drive operational efficiency. The asset is putting more focus on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues in relation to the investor and asset management award categories.
