Qatar Charity (QC) organised a training course for the teachers and supervisors of the Holy Qur'an learning course held under its ‘Noon’ platform.
The course, held under the supervision of QC’s Al Khor Centre for Community Development, came as part of its efforts to enhance the capabilities of its Qur'an course’s teachers and supervisors and increase the level of their knowledge.
Many supervisors and teachers took part in the course via Microsoft Teams to learn the optimal use of the electronic programs and technologies to teach the Holy Qur'an remotely.
Faisal Rashid al-Fahida, CEO's assistant for the Programmes and Community Development sector at QC, visited the Al Khor Community Development Centre, and was briefed on its activities.
He lauded the interest in the capability development of the centre’s workers, especially the activities that were implemented remotely as part of the precautionary measures against the Covid-19 pandemic.
In a press statement, QC’s Programmes and Community Development department director Fatima Jumah al-Mohannadi said that this course is part of their training plan. She underlined QC’s interest in developing the capabilities of its human resources, believing that a successful cadre is one who has the skills to carry out his job professionally.
Al-Mohannadi pointed out that QC will continue to organise training courses related to its various fields of work to continuously develop the personal and professional skills of its staff, so they can carry out their duties more efficiently.
The course, which was presented by trainer Dr Alaa Hosni, enabled the trainees teach remotely by applying technical systems and making presentations in an interesting manner.
The course discussed an array of topics such as teaching methods, the art of presenting, and the modern tools, in addition to keeping abreast of the developments and mechanisms that ensure the success of the teacher and supervisor in carrying out the duty at the required level.
Dr Alaa Hosni thanked QC for launching the ‘Noon’ platform, saying both teachers and supervisors should have the skills to use such electronic technologies to deliver the message effectively and present the materials attractively. He also lauded the participants for their keenness to learn, appreciating their interaction and discussion during the course.
Maryam al-Abdullah, a participant in the course and head of a community development centre at QC, said that this course comes within the framework of QC’s efforts aimed at training teachers to use the system and easily communicate with those participating in the Holy Qur'an course. She added that the course helped the teachers and supervisors communicate directly with the students in a way that achieves the intended goal.
