The Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs has started the activities of the Summer Training Programme for the year 2021 with the participation of 45 students in the secondary and university levels. The Head of Training and Management Development at the ministry, Dr Mohamed Khalifa al-Kubaisi, said that the programme aims to encourage Qatari youth to continue their efforts in developing their scientific capabilities and acquiring practical skills, for the benefit, progress and advancement of their country. The programme is also aimed to inform them of the vision and mission of the ministry, to give them an idea on the most prominent services it provides to members of society, as well as providing them with administrative and practical skills.He explained that the programme, which is supervised by the Training and Management Development Department at the ministry, will continue until August 26, and comes in fulfillment of the human development pillar of the Qatar National Vision, in terms of sponsoring students, involving them in the field of work, qualifying them for the future, and adhering to the Qatarisation policy.Al-Kubaisi pointed out that the students were distributed according to their wishes into four departments in the ministry: the Zakat Fund Department, the Dawa and Religious Guidance Department, the Mosques Department, and the General Department of Endowments.
