Katara to host S'hail from Sept 7 to 11

Katara-the Cultural Village Foundation is gearing up to host the fifth edition of S'hail-Katara International Hunting and Falcons Exhibition from September 7 to 11 with the participation of 160 international companies representing 19 countries and in partnership with some national companies.
The event will take place amid the observance of precautionary and preventive measures against Covid-19 and its variants. Prof Khalid bin Ibrahim al-Sulaiti, general manager of Katara and head of the organising committee of S'hail, said preparations for the fifth edition of the event, which will take place in Hall 12 and Al Hekma Hall at Katara, are continuing well and the event will be distinctive due to the availability of additional space to host more participating companies in this year's edition of the exhibition. He noted that S'hail has become an international business and marketing platform, where the largest international companies in the field want to display their products such as latest weapons, hunting tools and accessories in the fields of camping, hunting and falconry.He said applications for buying hunting weapons will be received through the Metrash2 app until August 30. Further, this year's edition will enjoy international participation, including GCC countries such as Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, besides 17 other countries.Prof al-Sulaiti said this edition of S'hail will have new and advanced events that will be launched by the management of the exhibition in accordance with the applicable Covid-19 measures and in co-operation with the entities concerned in the country. Adequate distance will be maintained while distributing the stands of participating ministries, organisations, clinics, exhibitors and various companies, and including stalls meant for traditional items and handicrafts related to the event and other exhibits such as camping and vehicle equipment. Other spaces will be allocated for the accompanying cultural and heritage events. Prof al-Sulaiti pointed out that the e-auction of falcons this year will be open to all participants through a special application that can be downloaded on mobile phones to avoid any direct contact among the participants in this regard and to maintain public health. In addition, e-sales will be implemented through financial transfers to guarantee a safe and secure shopping experience. In the meantime, Katara has specified the system for visitor entry at the venue through pre-registration and prior e-booking through the website of S'hail 2021. Accordingly, entry to the exhibition venue will be allowed to people aged 12 years and above, who are fully vaccinated against Covid-19, to guarantee the health and safety of all. S'hail is set to open its doors for visitors from 10am until 10pm daily except on Friday, when the event will be open to the public from 2pm until 11pm. Throughout the duration of event, a number of restaurants and cafes will provide distinguished services to visitors and offer meals from the meat of the hunted birds such as quail in addition to rabbits, gazelles and others. S'hail has become an annual event since the launch of its first edition in 2017.
