FM meets Italian counterpart Qatar, Italy discuss Afghan situation

HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani met Sunday with the visiting Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation Luigi Di Maio. During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations, and discussed the humanitarian situation and the latest security and political developments in Afghanistan, besides the means of co-ordination to combat terrorism. The Italian minister thanked Qatar for the assistance it provided to Italy in evacuating its citizens from Afghanistan.
